A Message from the President

As the leaves begin to fall and the north wind begins to blow our 2009 golf season is coming to a close. Reflecting back on the MGA 2009 year we had a very successful year commencing with the Chili Open and concluding with the President’s Cup. As we sit by the fireplace preparing for winter we should look forward with anticipation to another successful golf season in 2010. 

I am proud to say that in my opinion the Ford’s Colony Country Club’s MGA is the best MGA in the Williamsburg area and it helps make our Club what it is. However, our MGA is only as good as its members. I encourage all of you to volunteer this coming year whether it is as a weekly TD, special tournament chairman or as a member of one of our various committees. The Club and the MGA are only as good as we make them. Participating is fun. Roll up your sleeves, volunteer and let’s make our golfing experience even better than what it is today.

Hopefully this winter will be mild and we will be able to play golf and enjoy each other’s camaraderie all season long. If not, have faith, spring will be here before we know it. I hope to see you on the course and around the Club.
